Aluminium scaffold towers are vary commonly used by large and small building companies, as well as many home owners who enjoy completing DIY projects in their own properties. These towers are able to offer many of the same advantages we are used to when using ladders, but with added safety and ease of use. As a result of this, scaffold towers are being used to replace the ladder at an ever increasing rate. An aluminium scaffold tower is a very lightweight structure and so has much of the same mobility as a ladder. It is obviously more difficult to move around but these towers are surprisingly mobile, the smaller ones are suitable for use in confined spaces as well. Another reason that a scaffold tower is more practical than a ladder is the large platform at the top which is big enough to support several workers, along with all of their building tools and materials. Obviously a ladder is only suitable for one person, and no storage space at all is provided. Many of the benefits offered by a tower are the same as those that can be enjoyed with the use of traditional, static scaffolding installations. These installations are however too expensive and usually unnecessary on most small building and DIY jobs. A scaffold tower strikes a great compromise between a ladder and a traditional scaffolding setup.
Most aluminium scaffold towers are very easy to use and assemble. Simple safety and assembly instructions will be included with the structure. These are mostly common sense and anyone who is experienced in DIY practices should be able to use a tower effectively and safely without any real problems. Towers are also widely available. Any builder or homeowner should be able to find a structure that suits both their needs and budgets from the large range of suppliers now offering these products for sale.
