To be or not to be?
The family meal is under constant attack by our two income households and busy personal schedules. No one in this economy wants to tell their boss that they can’t work late every night, but at the same time you can’t ever buy your life back either. Then you have the kids. Cell phones, twitter, you name it the world is full of people infinitely more interesting than anyone’s parents or little siblings are, and they seem to rebel against the family meal with particular passion and zeal. Lay down your rules in your home. Family time is family time, and that goes for everyone. Go in to work early if you must get a project done. If your boss doesn’t think you deserve a life, maybe it’s time to get a new boss. Kids, put down those cell phone, or lose them in my house. Family time means it and just for those thanksgiving recipes. Lay down the laws early in life and stick to your guns.
