This morning I went out with a friend of mine to fish at Joe Pool Lake (http://www.joe-pool-lake.org/). This was the first time I had been out fishing in years. Fortunately I had nothing to worry about, as far as figuring out what the heck I was doing. My buddy had his boat, lots of fishing gear and plenty of advice.
We caught a few bass and some panfish. Nothing to write home about in terms of lunkers or crazy fish tales. Even so we had a great time. It was real cool to be out on the water. I had been needing to do something like this for awhile. I liked being able to just hang out and talk with my buddy for hours on end. We did not solve the worlds problems during our time out on the lake but I sure did feel better afterwards.
