Grooming Your Puppy

One of the first things your puppy should learn when it comes to dog training is to stand still while you groom and pet him. Grooming equipment varies from dog to dog and it is best to take your pet to a local pet store chain and ask them directly what are the best grooming supplies for your dog. Most pet stores allow you to go in with your pet, so don’t be afraid to take him along for the ride.

Take your time when  combing and brushing all the loose hair off the coat. Sometimes it can take several daily sessions to get the coat to a nice even consistency. Don’t forget to reward your dog while he stands patiently and don’t become negative or be too cross with your pet if he feels impatient during this process.
