I recently made a fabulous jewelry purchase at a fine boutique on Magazine Street. The pendant was a silver crescent moon with an inlaid amethyst star in the center, a handmade, a one-of-a-kind beautiful object d’ art. But the most delectable part of the set was the earrings. Beautiful and delicate silver star earrings. The silver stars dropped from an amethyst stone and cascaded down several inches and made a lovely frame for the scooped neckline of my dress. Of course–star earrings to go with the crescent moon pendant. Nothing is more magical than stars and moons. And I welcomed any magic that would come my way because I was going on my first date with Alec. We have been together since that first night four years ago. Lucky me, you say? Maybe; but I’ll always believe it was the magic of the stars. The fabulous magical star earrings.
