Ease of installation: This type of flooring generally comes in squares, which makes it very easy to lay down. No mixing of cement, or hammering floorboards down. All you have to do is lay down the pieces and you have instant flooring.

Bacteria protection: Most instant floors have built in anti bacterial agents that help keep the dog kennel clean, and keeps away foul smelling odors.

Draining: It’s important that your kennel has good drainage, otherwise urine and other nasty liquids tend to stay in puddles on the kennel and run floor. Instant kennel flooring comes with adequate drainage.

No holes in your yard: Unlike dirt or lawn, there’s no way your dog will be able to dig a hole through this type of kennel flooring. That’s certainly a big plus if your dog is a digger.

Aside from the points above, most people have found that instant kennel flooring lasts for a good while, and it doesn’t need to be replaced that often. It’s also not that expensive, especially if you consider all the advantages of using it.

A popular method for cleaning kennels is using kennel wipes. Typically, most of the kennel wipes on the market today are treated with a baking soda formula, and other cleaning and deodorizing chemicals. While these are definitely safe to use around pets, and they do a pretty good job of removing built up dirt and clearing away any odor, unfortunately they are not able to kill many of the viruses and bacteria that are harmful to a dog, such as the paro virus.

Especially if you are buying a second hand kennel, or if your pup is very young and hasn’t had all of its shots yet, I would suggest that you use a Clorox bleach solution to clean the kennel with instead.

Clorox Cleanup, for example, combines bleach with soap, and it is perfect to use to scrub a kennel with, and it kills all of those harmful viruses at the same time. Scrub it using this solution, hose the kennel off thoroughly to get rid of any of the residue from the bleach solution, then put your dog kennel in the sun so that it can dry.

If you do this, you can be fairly certain that not only is your kennel clean and sanitized, but it is also free from any harmful bacteria or germs.

Buying a large dog kennel might seem like the perfect solution for your puppy woes, but much like other things, size does matter and bigger isn’t always better. OK, enough of the euphemisms, but seriously, you must purchase the dog kennel that fits the size of your dog. You are probably thinking that if you have to kennel your dog while you are away, you want to make sure they are as comfortable as possible and to us more room equals more comfort. This is a big mistake! Be sure to buy a dog kennel that gives your dog just enough room to stand up and turn around. This is the perfect size no matter the size of your dog. This will help with house breaking and offer up a sense of comfort for your pooch. A dog will not relieve itself where it sleeps and it will consider the kennel its den, but if the kennel is too large the dog may relieve itself in the furthest corner and then lay down at the opposite corner. This will defeat the purpose of house breaking and having a kennel in the first place. Also, by nature, a dog will feel safer having a place to call its own and to sleep and you may be surprised that they soon go to sleep in their kennels all on their own without prompting.

There are many different kinds of dog kennels that you can buy for your dog. Some of these kennels are big, small and suited for different needs.

If you happen to have a small dog most owners will get a inside or portable dog kennel. This kennels are great because they allow you to easily transport them around. They are not as strong as most kennels but they will get the job done.

If you have a larger sized dog then you are probably going to have to go with an outside dog kennel. You will probably also want to get a dog run included as well.

In order to pick what is right for you, check your lifestyle and what type of dog you own. This way you can decide what dog kennel is right for you. Usually these kennels are a little bit expensive so you are going to want to make a good decision.

When you get a new puppy it can be expensive to buy all of the things that you will need for him. It can also be difficult to figure out what type of kennel to buy him. Should it be a plastic dog kennels or a wire one. What size should you get? That is an especially tough question because it may be difficult for you to know how big he is going to get. If you decide on a large breed dog it may mean that you will have to buy several dog kennels in your time. It is important to buy a kennel that is the right size for your dog. If it is too small then the dog will feel cramped and if it is too big the dog may use the restroom on one side of it and then go hand out on the other side. There are some wire kennels that can be sectioned off to help with this. Hopefully keeping these things in mind will help you when trying to decide which kennel to buy.
