Ease of installation:    This type of flooring generally comes in squares, which makes it very easy to lay down.  No mixing of cement, or hammering floorboards down.  All you have to do is lay down the pieces and you have instant flooring.

Bacteria protection:  Most instant floors have built in anti bacterial agents that help keep the dog kennel clean, and keeps away foul smelling odors.

Draining:  It’s important that your kennel has good drainage, otherwise urine and other nasty liquids tend to stay in puddles on the kennel and run floor.  Instant kennel flooring comes with adequate drainage.

No holes in your yard:  Unlike dirt or lawn, there’s no way your dog will be able to dig a hole through this type of kennel flooring.  That’s certainly a big plus if your dog is a digger.

Aside from the points above, most people have found that instant kennel flooring lasts for a good while, and it doesn’t need to be replaced that often.  It’s also not that expensive, especially  if you consider all the advantages of using it.

Especially if you are buying a second hand kennel, or if your pup is very young and hasn’t had all of its shots yet, I would suggest that you use a Clorox bleach solution to clean the kennel with instead.

Clorox Cleanup, for example, combines bleach with soap, and it is perfect to use to scrub a kennel with, and it kills all of those harmful viruses at the same time. Scrub it using this solution, hose the kennel off thoroughly to get rid of any of the residue from the bleach solution, then put your dog kennel in the sun so that it can dry.

If you do this, you can be fairly certain that not only is your kennel clean and sanitized, but it is also free from any harmful bacteria or germs.

If you happen to have a small dog most owners will get a inside or portable dog kennel. This kennels are great because they allow you to easily transport them around. They are not as strong as most kennels but they will get the job done.

If you have a larger sized dog then you are probably going to have to go with an outside dog kennel. You will probably also want to get a dog run included as well.
