Most people are lured to take a crack at buying penny stocks due to their very high return on investment. Picture this; You buy a penny stock at $0.30, watch its value go up and then sell it on the market at $1.09. That’s an increase of almost 250%. There are even many cases of penny stocks which have increased by more than 1000% within a day!  Now I’m not saying you are going to buy penny stocks of this nature all the time, but the potential of these stocks are so great.  The only issue of course is with great reward come great risk, which is why I never recommend using more than 10% of your portfolio for these type of speculative investments.  Nevertheless, if you play your cards right and perform adequate research, it may just be the most profitable section of you portfolio.
