A uPVC Window has many advantages, but it has a few drawbacks also.
One of the main claims against a uPVC window is that it is not as attractive as a timber window. The fairest answer to this is that it depends on the location of the building. uPVC windows look well in modern building, designed wuith them in mind, whereas when they are put into an older type residence, they can look out of place.
A uPVC window can discolour over time. What were white windows when you installed them could turn a bit yellow or even pinkish, due to different climatic conditions.
Bad weather extremes can cause damage to a uPVC window in the form of warping, expanding or even cracking.
So, all may not necessary be perfect when it comes to a uPVC window, or uPVC double glazing, but in many cases the advantages far outweigh the disadvantages.
